A fabulous book， by and for a collage artist。 There are so many beautiful， fascinating images to look at， and it also includes detailed how-to instructions with pictures。 All images are printed on one side of high-quality paper， with plenty of room to cut around each one。 While I’m sure I will still raid vintage books and magazines for things to cut out and create with， this is a wonderful compendium of good stuff all in one place。 A smorgasbord of visual delight！

Do you find yourself with the time to have a crack at collage， a broken printer so you can't access any images on the internet， and no idea what books to get to give you the raw material to begin constructing your pieces？ Look no further than this book - it is BEAUTIFUL！The images are wonderfully diverse。 I've given a selection of photos here but there's SOOOO much I could not include。 Flora， fauna， classic architecture， modern architecture， pages on space， pages on superheroes， garish examples Do you find yourself with the time to have a crack at collage， a broken printer so you can't access any images on the internet， and no idea what books to get to give you the raw material to begin constructing your pieces？ Look no further than this book - it is BEAUTIFUL！The images are wonderfully diverse。 I've given a selection of photos here but there's SOOOO much I could not include。 Flora， fauna， classic architecture， modern architecture， pages on space， pages on superheroes， garish examples of 70s food - this book pretty much has it all。Rather than buy an assortment of books， this book would be a great single purchase if you aren't sure whether or not collage is for you。 All charity and thrift shops are currently shut because of coronavirus， and older secondhand books do not have 'peak inside' options online like a lot of newer books so it's difficult to know what you are getting in terms of collage material。The first 22 pages give an introduction to Maria Rivans， examples of her collages and some of her favourite collages by other artists。 You then get a guide on building a collage as well as ideas based on images from this book。 From p23-173 you have single sided pages stacked with images to cut out and work with， all with a neat dashed cutting line down the left hand side if you'd rather remove the whole page than take bits and pieces from it。From 175-205 you have full page images for you to use as a background of your collages， from a giant bowl of soup to a shots of Marilyn Monroe and Audrey Hepburn。 This book has been put together with so much care and creativity。 It's a gorgeous work of art in its own right！ Thank you， Maria Rivans， for this fantastic book。Further info and some pics can be found on my blog: https://damebookity。blogspot。com/2020。。。 。。。more
